Welcome to J. Sousa Ventures - a firm that I founded out of my Boston apartment nearly three years ago with the goal of democratizing advanced financial models and analytics. Since our inception, we have worked with many incredible investors and business leaders across the country to turn their data into actionable insights (I recommend checking out our projects page to see some of the work we have completed).

To give you a brief overview of myself, I started out my career working at a financial planning firm where I analyzed individuals' financial situations and crafted roadmaps for major life events such as having kids, retiring, etc. This was a great introduction in to the entirety of personal finance but was definitely not where I wanted to spend my career.

By a stroke of luck, I ended up connecting with an entrepreneur in Boston who needed some projections put together to bring to seed investors. I gladly offered up my services crafting the gambit of financial analyses including market projections, proforma financial statements, product pricing, etc. This is when I began to realize that bringing financial models to the masses could have some real business implications, both for myself and for the clients I engage with. The next day I started JSV.
